Trip Overview

The picturesque Jomsom Muktinath trekking explores the tremendous diversity of the Annapurna region following the old trade route of Nepal Tibet along the bank of the Kali Gandaki, the deepest gorge in the world. Our Jomsom Muktinath trek route takes you from Pokhara valley to the famed Poon hill named after the Poon ethnic group for the best sunrise view on Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges through the beautiful Himalayan settlements and lust forest.

Your visit to Kagbeni, the entrance gate of Mustang: the once forbidden kingdom with the arid land of beauty against the backdrop of majestic mountains before ascending to the famous pilgrimage site at Mutkinath adds the charm in your trip to Annapurna Jomsom Muktinath.

Outline Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Arrive in Kathmandu, transfer to hotel and Welcome dinner with ethnic cultural dance program.
  • Day 2 : Morning sightseeing cultural tour to Boudhnath and Pashupatinath: witness the Hindu cremation done in public on the bank of Bagmati river.
  • Day 3 : Drive to Pokhara, lake city, Annapurna trekking starting point.
  • Day 4 : Fly to Jomsom and trek to Kagbeni, entrance gate for upper Mustang.
  • Days 5 : Trek to Muktinath, holi shrine for both Hindu and Bhuddist / exploration hike to Muktinath / witness the arid beauty of Mustang valley making contrast with snow aped peaks and divers culture.
  • Day 6 - 8 : Decent to Tatopani via Kagbeni, Jomsom and Marpha villages: Enjoy the thousand dollar worth bathing / summing in Tatopani hot spring
  • Days 9 -12 : Trek to Ghorepani, visit the famed view point Poonhill for Himalayan vistas from different angle and trek to Birethanti via Tadapani, Ghandruk and short drive to Pokhara / stay at hotel.
  • Day 13 : Drive to Kathmandu.
  • Day 14 : Trip end / Airport transfer
