Trip Overview

Lobuche expedition offers a historical climb to Lobuche east peak with acclimatization hike to Kalapathar and Everest Base Camp. Lobuche East (6119m), a beautiful trekking peak, offers various existing as well as new climbing routes to all the amateur mountaineer in the Himalayas.

Climbing to the southern base camp at an altitude of 5500 meter unfolds the stunning views of Ama Dablam, Tawache and many more after the well acclimatization trek to Kala Pattar and Everest Base Camp. Climb beneath the main glaciers from the base camp to gain access to the ridge overlooking Lobuche and Khumbu glacier.

The Lobuche east peak summit can reach with some difficulty by gaining the notch with a descent followed by steep snowy slopes climb to the top. Climbing Clinic held at base camp briefed and instructed by experienced mountain experts so that you acquire the necessary skills and confidence to achieve your goal.

It is not mandatory that you have prior climbing experience to join this Lobuche east expedition, however previous trekking or outdoor experience and sound level of fitness is the most.

Outline Itinerary

  • Day 01 : Arrive in Kathmandu, transfer to hotel and welcome dinner with Nepali cultural program.
  • Day 02 : Explore Buddhist Boudhnath and Hindu Pashupatinath: witness Hindu cremation done in public, afternoon free.
  • Day 03 - 04 : Fly to Lukla and commence trek along the Dudh Koshi valley to Namche Bazzar, first majestic views of Mt. Everest.
  • Day 05 - 06 : A rest day at Namche - great local walks and scenery. Trek to Thyangboche. Ama Dablam, Kantega, Lhotse and Everest are all in sight Trek to Dingboche, with rugged high alpine scenery high above the tree line.
  • Days 07 - 08 : Trek to Dingboche, with rugged high alpine scenery high above the tree line and acclimatization and exploration day.
  • Day 09 : Trek up the Imja Khola valley to Lobuche with extraordinary scenery.
  • Day 10 : Continue through great glacial moraines to Gorak Shep. Climb Kala Pathar for amazing views of Everest and Nuptse dominating a sea of other summits.
  • Day 11 : Morning Excursion to Everest Base Camp. Trekking down to Dingboche.
  • Days 12 - 13 : Ascend to Lobuche East Base Camp / Rest and climbing clinic course for the required skills to summit the top successfully.
  • Days 14 –16 : Three days to summit the Lobuche east. Early start on summit day: sensational Himalayan summit thrill. Descend to base camp / Pheriche
  • Days 17 -21 : Trekking down to Lukla via Thyanboche.
  • Days 22 - 23 : Fly to Kathmandu and enjoy a free day / Explore Kathmandu’ wonders.
  • Day 24 : Lobuche east climbing expedition ends / Airport transportation.
