Trip Overview

Around Annapurna trekking outskirts trans – himalayan valley which offers best opportunities to explore from the beautiful middle hill scenery to high mountain ranges vastness in just 3 weeks long adventure holiday trip. We witness very close-up breath taking views of gegnetic peaks, verstile cultural and geological diversity within the miles distance. This valley has long been trading route to Nepal Tibet, but since it opened to trekkers in 1977 this round Annapurna trek has become the most popular among the trekkers having average level on fitness.

Exploring the Kathmandu’s wonder world heritage sites, we take drive to Besisahar and  Bulbule –  round Annapuran trek starting point. Enjoy the scenery and rushing whitewater, beautiful terraced field, ethnic culture and magnificent mountain views along the way.

Soon you enter the Manang exploring the diverse landscape and vegetation; the valley becomes narrow, steeper and vegetation changes to rhododendron, pine forest. The trail leads through forest, fields villages to reach Manang village ‘ a dense populated village of over 500 mud roofed houses set picturesque just beneath the huge Annapurna Range. The rest day is designed to acclimatization and subsidizes weeklong tiredness.

Trekking around Annapurna we head to the strenuous Thorong pass (5416m). The views on the top of Thorong la is truly spectacular, spreads from the northwest Mustang deserted arid beauties to incredible Annapurna and Dhaulagiri to the south.  The journey continues southward valley of the River Kaligandiki back dropped by dramatic views of Nilgiri and Dhaulagiri.

Outline Itinerary

  • Day 01 : Arrive in Kathmandu, transfer to hotel and Welcome dinner with ethnic cultural dance program.
  • Day 02 : Morning sightseeing cultural tour to Boudhnath and Pashupatinath: witness the Hindu cremation done in open area on the bank of Bagmati river.
  • Day 03 : Drive to Besi shahar along the meandering highway.
  • Days 04-05 : Start trekking, following Marsayandi River, initially at low, sub-tropical altitudes.
  • Days 06-08 : Trek through alpine terrain of Chame and Pisang, great views.
  • Days 09-10 : Continue trekking to Manang, with stunning mountain panorama. A rest and exploration day allows for local village walks.
  • Days 11-12 : Trekking to Phedi, amazing views, preparation to cross the Thorong la pass
  • Day 13 : Early start with torchlight, ascending Thorong La Pass. Stunning vistas of the Annapurna, Manaslu and Mustang ranges, with the Kali Gandaki Valley far below. Steep descent to Muktinath.
  • Day 14 -16 : Continue decent to Tatopani via Kagbeni, Jomsom and Marpha villages: Enjoy the thousand dollar worth bathing / summing in Tatopani hot spring.
  • Day 17-19 : Trek to Poonhill for Himalayan vistas from different angle and trek to Berethanti and short drive to Pokhara / stay at hotel.
  • Day 20 : Private trasportation drive to Kathmandu / stay at hotel
  • Day 21 : Trip end and airport transfer.
