Trip Overview

Everest Peaks and Pass trip fulfilled the dream for serious trekkers who wish to have challenging trekking with amateur climbing experience beyond simply trekking in Nepal. This specially designed itinerary combines the Gokyo, Khumbu and Chukking valleys for the ultimate trekking experience in Everest region. We trek over one of strenuous Chola pass and ascend Gokyo peak and Kala Pathar before summiting the Island peak for the experience of lifetime in Himalayan summit thrill.

We follow the Dudh Koshi River to Namche after the mountain flight to Lukla. We trek further up though the redodendren forest and Yak pasture settlement to the turquoise glacier lake at Gokyo, sacred to Tibetan Buddhist living in this region. An ascent to Gokyo peak revels mountain vistas including 8000-meter peaks: Everest, Makalu, Lhotse, and Cho – Oyu at its best. We cross the Ngazumba glacier moraine, the largest glacier in world, before trekking over the challenging Chola pass on the way to Everest base camp and Kala Pathar.

Your participation on Climbing Clinic Course especially organise at Island Peak Base Camp, instructed by our climbing Sherpas, for the required climbing skills and confidence to summit the top successful. The Island peak climbing is more interesting than technical. We fix a rope and jumars for the safeguard of climbers and staff near to the summit ridge. The setting couldn’t be more impressive with the mountain of Ama Dablam, Chamlang, Baruntse, and Makalu on the horizon and Lhotse South looming before you – Pure Himalayan Magic.

Outline Itinerary

  • Day 01 : Arrive in Kathmandu, transfer to hotel and welcome dinner with cultural program
  • Day 02 : Explore Buddhist Boudhnath and Hindu Pashupatinath: witness the Hindu cremation on the bank of river. Trek preparation.
  • Day 03 : Fly to Lukla and commence trek.
  • Day 04-05 : Walk up the Dudh Khosi Valley and climb to Namche.
  • Day 06-08 : Proceed up the Gokyo Valley and enjoy views of massive Cho Oyu.
  • Day 09-10 : Pass the terminal moraines of the Ngozumpa Glacier and the first three Gokyo Lakes to Gokyo. Climb Gokyo Ri.
  • Day 11 : Trekking on the moraines of the Ngozumpa Glacier to Thangna.
  • Day 12-13 : Challenging cross over Chola pass: enjoy the superb beauty of Nature and walk up Imja Khola valley, with stark alpine scenery to Lobuche.
  • Day 14 : Ascent to Gorak Shep. Trekking Kala Pathar for views across Khumbu Glacier to Everest
  • Day 15 : Leave your historical footprint at Everest Base Camp.
  • Day 16-17 : Ascend to Island peak base camp/ Rest and climbing clinic course for the required skills to summit the top successfully.
  • Day 18-20 : Three days for the summit attempt of Island Peak. Early start on summit day: Sensational Himalayan vistas. Descend to base camp / Chukung.
  • Day 21-25 : Trekking down to Lukla via Thyanboche and flight to Kathmandu.
  • Day 26 : Time in Kathmandu to relax and explore the historical and cultural sights and sounds of Kathmandu valley.
  • Day 27 : Trip ends / Airport transfer.
